Marketers- you’re familiar with this topic all too well. Rates, rate cards, CPMs and CPCs and CPAs. It’s sort of ridiculous that the ad network is forcing you to pay $2 CPM’s when they’re keeping $1.50 off of that. Paying huge premiums that end up in the pocket of the middle man is just plain wrong. And why exactly are rates preset? The value of each impression changes dramatically depending on its characteristics, and if you’re paying a flat CPM rate, you are getting ripped off. It’s inevitable. The odds are stacked against marketers in the price battle.
