Network Reach and Content Controls
You may have already noticed that our technology is great. If not, then you’ll learn why here. However, you can’t target down to selective inventory if you have nothing to choose from. Luckily, you have access to so many “premium” sites during the course of your campaigns that it’s scary.

First, though, let’s define “premium”. When we started out, we thought that premium websites were those that had rate cards with CPM costs of $100. After all, who knows a website’s inventory better than the site’s owner? As it turns out, that was a bad assumption for us to make. Site owners often use guess and check methods to price their inventory (ie. Is this price scaring away advertisers? Too high. Is this price overloading my servers… with requests from advertisers? Too low.)

So, we came to a much better definition. Premium inventory is that which engages the viewer in a rich content experience. The design and placement of the content and advertisements are located to entice the visitor, not annoy them. Content on premium sites is fresh, original and unique. The website is made for the visitor, not for monetization.

This is a brand-safe network. There are no adult sites in our network, no parked domains in our network, no random blogs from a teenager who writes in his bathrobe during the ride to school, no automated turnkey sites. Everything in our network is handpicked and thoroughly vetted for value. This solves a key issue in advertising; Scott Meldrum of HypeCouncil discusses this in an IMediaConnection article that’s available here.

Second, our strategic partnerships with the other guys give us access to much more inventory than we have. Our membership on AdECN gives us access to a wide variety of sites, including premium Microsoft and aQuantive sites and other not-so-premium sites. Remember, you’ll always be able to include or exclude them from your process. But what if these sites aren’t as brand-friendly as our sites? The content rating system prevents any inappropriate associations with your brand. You rate the content of your ad and the types of sites that you are willing to let your creative be displayed on. Our publishers rate their web pages and specify the kinds of ads that they are willing to have on their site. We review everything to make sure that the ratings are appropriate. Then, we flip the switch and everything starts.

OK, I’ll acknowledge it. Despite everything that I’ve said, this system only works 99.9% of the time. And that isn’t good enough. So, we’ve introduced a third layer of protection. Real people (Gasp!) will check on everything to make sure placements are appropriate. And, you’ll be able to exclude any site or placement that you want from your control panel with a few clicks. This doesn’t happen often, but it’s there if you need it.

So, where will your ads be seen?
-premium participants in the Freedom of Ads network such as PerfSpot.com, an international social network
-premium Microsoft and aQuantive properties, such as Hotmail.com
-premium and non-premium sites participating in AdECN
-premium and non-premium properties of our partner networks

I was scared about switching ad networks. Even though I got less-than-average resuts with other networks, I was afraid of losing even those mediocre levels of ROI. I purchased a small set of display ads on the Freedom of Ads Network. Since then, I have seen consistently seen dramatic increases in conversion that blow my mind. The price? You pay more for a pack of gum than for 1000 impressions with Freedom of Ads

I used to stick with the big boys of advertising when marketing my E-Commerce store. However, the ads were overpriced, riddled with click fraud, and there was no support. A friend recommended me here, and I love the results. Not only that, but they actually work one on one with me to boost my conversion. Best of all, they treat me like other networks would treat a corporate customer. There are no little guys here, or little possibilites. The only thing that limits you is your imagination (and the daily spending cap that you set in your control panel).
